Humble Beginnings
Born and raised in Southern California, Chef Dio discovered her love for food at a young age in her grandmother's kitchen. She spent her childhood learning alongside her grandmother, who prepared comforting, home-cooked meals from recipes she brought from Mexico. She watched her lovingly cook for the family, transforming simple ingredients into dishes that told the story of her culture and roots.
Those early days in the kitchen planted the seeds of Chef Dio's passion- but her curiosity didn't stop there. After school, she would head straight home to watch the Food Network, captivated by the creativity and technique of professional chefs. Inspired], she began recreating those recipes in the kitchen, blending what she learned on screen with the traditional flavors and methods passed down from her grandmother. In those moments, she wasn't just cooking- she was discovering her own voice, one dish at a time, rooted in heritage and fueled by imagination.
Today, Chef Dio is a sought-after Personal Chef based in Orange County, serving Newport Beach and surrounding areas. Her cooking is a reflection of her journey- rooted in tradition, elevated by imagination, and driven by a deep love for bold, soulful flavors.
The Art Institute of California
After graduating high school, Chef Dio choose to stay close to home and family, and enrolled at the Art Institute of California- Orange County, where she began formail training in the culinary arts. The decision marked the beginning of a transformative chapter in her life.

At the Art Institute, she thrived in the vibrant, hands-on environment. She loved the rhythm of kitchen labs, the mentorship from passionate instructors and the camaraderie of fellow students who shared her love for food. It wasn't just about learning recipes- it was about being immersed in the craft.
Upon earming her diploma in Culinary Arts in 2016, she immersed herself in a fast-paced world of professional kitchens. Starting in pantry and prep roles, she quickly advanced through the ranks, ultimately earning the position of kitchen manager. Her journey included working in acclaimed, high-volume restaurants like Bosscats, Scarlet kitchen and Seasons 52, where she honed her leadership skills and refined her culinary techniques.

Sur la table
In 2019, she took on the role of Sous Chef at Sur La Table cooking classes in Newport Beach. With a strong background on the line and classical training in French cuisine, she quickly became a go-to mentor for both students and colleagues. She taught everything from seasonal menus to global cooking techniques, blending hands-on skills with her deep love of food.

Over time, her passion creativity, independence, and building meaningful connections through food inspired her to launch her own small catering business as a personal chef. Four the past five years, she's been developing custom menus, creating original recipes, and curating unforgettable dinning experiences
